French: Aspects of French-speaking society: La famille en voie de changement. La « cyber-société. Le rôle du bénévolat.

Artistic culture in the French-speaking world: Une culture fière de son patrimoine. La musique francophone contemporaine. Cinéma: le septième art.

Aspects of French-speaking society: Les aspects positifs d’une société diverse. Quelle vie pour les marginalisés. Comment on traite les criminels.

  • Paper 1: Listening, reading and writing
  • Paper 2: Writing (2 essays – One text and one film or two texts from the list set in the specification)
  • Paper 3: Speaking – includes Individual research project (IRP)

 

Course Information

Language courses equip students with linguistic skills necessary in the 21st Century workplace. The courses are taught by highly qualified, experienced teachers using excellent  resources such as interactive white boards, internet resources, authentic and up to date texts. Students will have the opportunity to broaden their linguistic and cultural knowledge through studying literature, cinema, geography and the history of the country.

International Business, Translator, Teacher.

 

Extra Curricular

Students have the opportunity to attend language workshops in French and Spanish at Nottingham University and support students learning a language in other year groups.
