GCSE Results Day

George Spencer Academy celebrated some fantastic GCSE results today with many outstanding individual performances. Close to three quarters of students achieved the benchmark of 4+ in English and Maths and secured their place at GSA sixth form, on apprenticeships or other further education provider.

Vice Principal, Scott Doyle said: “Results days are always special at George Spencer and it has been lovely celebrating success with our students this morning. The hard work, dedication and excellent relationships between our staff and students has paid off with many of our students scooping the elusive grade 9s across their subjects and most achieving the necessary grades in English and Maths to progress into the next chapter of their education. Our young people have bright futures ahead of them – life at GSA is not just about exam results, we help to grow well rounded, capable young adults through a range of experiences and a relentless focus on learning and self-improvement. With this in mind, we look forward to welcoming the vast majority into our sixth form in September but, to those heading in other directions, we wish them all the best and bid them farewell.

There are still places at George Spencer Sixth form. Information can be found on our website. Enquiries should be emailed to: gsa_sixthform@george-spencer.notts.sch.uk
