Early Careers Development: NQTs & RQTs

We believe that high quality CPD is critical to ensure that teachers continue to learn as their careers progress. The NQT and RQT years are a critical part of that journey. Our Primary and Secondary Early Career Development Programmes offer ongoing support for NQTs and RQTs throughout 2 years with core training sessions for essential topics, electives to meet bespoke needs and opportunities to network with other professionals.

The NQT Offer

This is available for both Primary and Secondary colleagues and has a core offer which is supported by a wide range of elective modules to enable the NQT to personalise their own development. Our programme aims to support you as an NQT in the ever changing educational landscape with workshops addressing current issues; designed to stimulate thought, share best practice and use the research to support learning.

We welcome all NQTs, from the Alliance, the SCITT and wider afield. All NQTs who trained with us receive a Golden Ticket which entitles you to join the programme for free however, you don’t have to have trained with us to be part of this programme. We pride ourselves in knowing each and every one of our NQTs personally and ensure that networking opportunities are maximised for your benefit.

The NQT Teaching and Learning Conference and Graduation Day is a highlight of the year where you can celebrate the success of your NQT year and reflect and identify positive next steps.

The RQT Offer

The Seminar Series is focused on deepening professional learning and encourage specialisms to develop passions in individual areas of professional learning. Led by SLEs and experienced professionals, the seminars and learning materials cover both the Early Careers Framework and case study of implementation in school settings. The aim is to support those NQTs who have secured fast-track accreditation in 2020. This includes a range of webinars and online learning resources to enrich professional learning.
